Bollywood unleashed

November 14, 2005

I was watching TV last night and I stumbled upon this movie on HBO…Out of time; My first reaction was, have I seen this movie before? And to my amazement this was Original English version of zeher. I don’t understand what’s problem with these Bhatt guys…every movie they make has to be rip off of Hollywood and then they take every credit of coming up with fresh and bold storyline…not just story line.. They copy dialogues, cinematography and names of characters too.

Here is the list of movies from Bhatt clan where only language and actors are different that from their original Hollywood movies Murder – Unfaithful, Paap – The witness, Awara Pagal Dewana – The whole Nine Yards, Saaya – Dragonfly, Zeher – Out of Time. (Good for those people who don’t understand English but wannna see Hollywood movies)

I get astonished when confronted they simply wave it off by saying; “it’s a remake. but not giving credit to original story writer in the first place. Bah! I hate current bollywood trend; I feel green with all those cheap sex movies with mindless skin show and those shoddy item numbers (somebody shoot those girls!!!). I would rather watch Hollywood x rated movies in front of my parents. At least they make some sense.

since it’s inception, bollywood or the “indian film industry” has been “inspired” time and again by hollywood movies. so it comes as no surprise.

i’m still waiting for some adventurous bollywood director to make an exact desi copy of The Matrix or Terminator 2. It will end up looking like a comedy with poor graphics ‘n effects. nonetheless, it will be an original-idea for them.

    Hello all ,

Actually after a long slavery to british ,you all type of people have got permanent slavery in your blood .You all keep praising hollywood films, i have seen people in TV room clapping , when Brad Pit jumps ,and same guy laughing like idiots when Akshya Kumar jumps in same way.
You have mentioned here ,the list of indian films based on hollywood films , Have you ever tried to know that many hollwood films are also based on french ,japanease films? Sometime you dont know from which film they are lifitng the plot of the film.Even ,you are not worried about that because the fact is film in english , and you type of fools want to copy everything from them.
I am not saying anything without a proof , let me clear myself ,without knowing the location as you move away from Delhi in any direction the love to own cultre rises , so wther you are in far east or in south or in north or in west . South indian people are modern still they love their culture and films and anything like . this is lessas you move up like less in MP then further less in Rajasthan ,and in Delhi completely disappeared. Like when you move away from Gujarat or Asam or J&K.

  7. An interesting analysis, and the list the SOMU person posted is indeed true, I’ve got most of the original movies and will now download the others as well. And LOL! I’d shoot those girls if it didn’t get me to hell rofl. I’ll check back at your blog again, not a big hindi movie fan cause they’re mostly full of crap these days but yeah ^^

we all are wannabe stars who want to dress like them, talk like them, walk like them but we know it’s not possible. How can someone make a mockery out of this by coping their work for their own sake.Even the so called amitab copies al pachino and not to forget our very own mr. evergreen dev sahab who use to copy gregory peck.Shame on them. The junior bachan can’t act,if i were a son of mr bachan than i also would have become a superstar after giving 13 flops.SRK has a group outside which he’ll never act.All these are peace of craps,or i should say all of them are motley lot of loosers. They are the youth icon’s of brain dead India.Sorry loosers,i think you all are atleast 100 to 150 years behind hollywood and this gap is only gonna extend not shorten up…..

All of them are bumling fools who don’t even know the abcd of acting. They know the taste of our stupid public and show them what they want.Where senseless movies like om shanti om broke all the box office records, inspiring movies like A Wednesday did an average business.Who want’s message,we only want mirch masala. We don’t want to be inspired,we want to be entertained. We have no qualms for what we do.As far as our hip pocket is full, who cares about others.Even if it leads to washing their brains of.The pity is,the diniro’s the pachino’s the eastwood’s the hopkin’s,they all don’t even know who is srk and who is amitabh and who is mr prefectionist, they are just not bothered, poor old guys don’t even know which all movies are copied or so called inspired by their own movies otherwise they have all the rights to sue bollywood for coping or stealing their work.I hope they would do so at some sort of stage.Sooner they do the better it is.Yesterday i saw ghajini which is inspired by memento in which guy pearce played the lead role. Now i have understood why we always say we don’t copy but we are inspired, where memento had no fight scenes no songs whatsoever,on the other hand ghajini was full of fight scenes as well as ample of songs.See we did’nt copy it,we were only inspired.God please give them some brains so that they can do work on their own instead of staeling or coping it from others….cheers….
