Philips SHP1900

August 25, 2008

I was planning to buy a headphone for quite a while. I listen to music for hours at stretch and that too at high volume which had left many people running for cover. Danger of going deaf notwithstanding, i like my music loud. So the other Day I went to Nehru place and decided to find one. I wanted comfortable cans with decent quality of sound. The budget was not huge so my choices were limited.

Philips SHP1900 looked comfortable and at INR 550 It fit my bill and specification. So I bought one.

Test:

Album: Tempo of the Damned
Artist: Exodus

I cranked up the stereo and Intro of “Scar Spangled Banner” pierced into my right ear. After few seconds I Played “Blacklist” and BOY! I was blown away. This piece of equipment sounds awesome. The sound is bit muffled,(I liked it) mid-range is sweet and bass and highs are quite good. Much better than I had expected. The overall build quality is good. Doesn’t weigh much. The plastic band does not does not feel like its gonna crush your skull even after hours of use. Overall I like these very much and I would suggest it to anyone who wants good sound quality at cheap price.

Whao! It’s been nearly two years, I haven’t updated my blog. Lots of things happened during this period. Biggest being my Job, I am no more mooching off my Dad. I was such a spoilt brat, earning my own living never occurred to me before. Starting to work was big deal for me. I mean getting up early in the morning and doing things others tell you to do haven’t been my way of life. But, things have been better lately. I changed Job, moved in to better & bigger house. I feel more independent and responsible. which is good, right?

Latest news: Last month I went to Ladakh with few other friends. It was an incredible experience. I would write about it in detail very soon; with pictures. :)

Other than that… I have lots of things to say about lots of issues going around. what all stuff? you will come to know in my subsequent posts.

Last but not the least I would like to Thank my friends who kept me on their blog roll despite my long hiatus from blog sphere. I will try to update this place regularly and won’t give you chance to complain.

Thanks all for you valuable time.
